Biography
Olga Bruyaka received her bachelor's degree in Management and a master's degree in Economics from Kiev National Taras Shevtchenko University (Ukraine). She got her second master’s degree in Strategic Management and a Ph.D. in Management and Entrepreneurship from EM Lyon and Lyon Jean Moulin University (France). The research topics Olga Bruyaka has explored in her thesis, and the questions which are in her present research agenda, are as follows: rent generation and rent appropriation within small high-tech firms; big pharma-small biotech alliances and their performance implications for smaller partners; alliance portfolio diversity and firms’ survival as opposed to exit by dissolution vs. exit by divestment; managing multi-partner and multi-purpose alliances. Olga Bruyaka has several publications in Ukrainian (Journal of Human Resources Management), French (Revue Francaise de Gestion) and international (SMJ) academic journals. She is a current member of the Strategic Management Society and the Academy of Management.
