Biography
Kent F. Murrmann (Ph.D., Michigan State University) joined the faculty in the Management Department at Virginia Tech in 1979. His teaching and research interests include labor and employment relations in the global business environment. He served as a Visiting Scholar at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for the 1996 spring semester and the 2000-2001 academic year. Dr. Murrmann led Pamplin College of Business Study Abroad activities and taught International Management each fall semester from 2004-2008 at the Virginia Tech Center for European Studies and Architecture (CESA) in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland. He has presented research papers at the Industrial Relations Research Association, the Academy of Management, and the Asia Academy of Management. He has published articles in the Journal of Labor Research, the Arbitration Journal, Journal of Collective Negotiations, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Hospitality Research, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management, Employee Relations Law Journal, Labor Law Journal, and the Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal.
