Biography
David Bengt Thornblad is a doctoral student in the Department of Management at Virginia Tech. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from Augustana College in Illinois and an M.M. in Music Business and Entertainment Industries from the Univeristy of Miami, Florida. At Miami, he taught undergraduate classes on the music industry. His research interests are in the field of strategy, including the topics of firm entry into emerging markets, entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital media distribution and monetization.
David was born in Sweden, but has spent most of his life in the United States living and working in a wide variety of locations, including Chicago, Miami, and Orange County, California. His work experience spans the field of music and video entertainment, including an entrepreneurial venture into the online music field.
